Venghai will be a complete action entertainer; there are reports that comedian Vadivelu and Dhanush will have a rib-tickling comedy track. Music composed by Devi Sri Prasad was launched in Chennai recently.

The movie is titled ‘Prem Katha’ and stars Amy Jackson of ‘Madraspattinam’ fame with Prateik Babbar.

Now the latest is that, the team of ‘Prem Katha’ has come to Chennai to shoot few important scenes.

Those who know Gautham Menon well know his love for Amethyst, both the old and the new outlets. The director can be spotted at this café-cum-boutique, sometimes penning his scripts. It seems, few scenes of ‘Prem Katha’ were shot here, few at the beach and even the scene where the protagonist is jailed, for ‘gate-crashing’ his love’s wedding, seems to have been shot in Chennai.

Some birdies even go on to say that a few songs of ‘Prem Katha’ will be shot here as well but we can’t be sure of that.

Mankatha, Ajith's 50th film, has a huge star cast which includes Trisha, Arjun, Lakshmi Rai, Anjali, Premji, Ashwin, Vaibhav, Mahant, Anjali, Andrea and others. Cloud Nine Movies has produced this action thriller which is rumoured to narrate the story of match-fixing sagas in international cricket matches.

He managed to rope in Bollywood’s numero uno star Salman Khan, for the audio launch of his son Sabarish's debut film.

The launch was held at PVR Cinema on Wednesday (June 15) evening.

Salman Khan was the chief guest at the function, in which Ilayathalapathy Vijay too was present. Shriya Saran provided the glamour to the event.

The others present were Jayam Ravi, MS Bhaskar, Sri Hari, VC Guhanathan and directors KS Ravikumar, Mysskin, Dharani, Seeman, Sargunan and others

Salman was the cynosure of all eyes and girls present at the event were swooning seeing him. The hot and happening superstar's Ready which had released last week was making box-office history.

To make it more dramatic Salman, flew in on a chartered flight from Chandigarh where he was shooting for his new Siddique directed Bodyguard, a remake of Vijay's Kaavalan.

The slick trailer of the action packed Markandeyan along with three songs from the film which stars Sabarish, Pinky a girl from Thailand who is playing heroine and villain Telugu actor Sri Hari was screened for Salman and others. The film has good music by Sundar C Babu who was also present on the occasion.

Salman Khan in his speech praised "FEFSI Vijayan Master and his style of choreographing action scenes”. Remember Salman’s two big hits Wanted and Dabangg had spectacular action scenes choreographed by Vijayan. He also went out of the way to praise Sabarish and called him “Little Master."

Salman concluded by saying: " I wish little master kicks everybody and hope he becomes a big star. Seeing the trailer and songs, I'm impressed with him".

After this her films did not do well at the box office. She only got some small roles in Raavanan and Rattha Charithram. Now she has no Tamil films in her hand. Because of this she is concentrating in Telugu and Kannada films. When asked her that whether she will not act in Tamil films, she sadly said that she is not getting suitable stories and she will act if she gets good stories.

Priyamani had celebrated her birthday last week in Bangalore. She is currently acting in a Telugu mythological film titled Kshetram. She while speaking about this said, "It was a new experience in acting in a historical film. This film will be an important one in my film career."

When asked Taapsee about this, she said, “I don’t like others to discuss about my personal affairs. I want privacy. I want others to respect it. There are rumors about me and Simbu and there are also rumors that I am close to Mahath. Both of them are my close friends. Manoj who acted with me in a Telugu film has introduced Simbu and Mahath to me.

Whenever I come to Chennai, I meet them. What is wrong in meeting them? Now I am used to read these kinds of rumors. But my parents have no connection in cinema. They are hurt when they read this kind of news. My relative’s feelings are also hurt. Hence I request people to stop spreading wrong rumors about me.”

Sridevi is now camping in both Chennai and Hyderabad and meeting all leading cine personalities. The reason for her stay here is said that she is trying to make her elder daughter Janvi as a cine heroine.

Even though Sridevi ruled Bollywood also and is now living in Mumbai, she prefer her daughter to start her career either in Tamil or Telugu movie.

The sentiment behind selecting this area is that Kamal introduced Shruthi in Bollywood, but it went into a major flop. At the same time Radha introduced her daughter Karthika in Tamil and she is now a successful actor.

He has said that fans will come to know that both the films are very different from each other when Mankatha releases and not to believe in such baseless rumors. It may be mentioned here that Mankatha also deals with bookies and hence the rumors began circulating.
