As per sources close to the development, a Mumbai based corporate is going to fund Mugamoodi, on a reasonable budget. Jiiva has signed up the film as he found the script to be exciting.

Remember Mysskin had first approached Suriya to do Mugamoodi, which did not work out due to cost factor. Later he approached Arya and Vishal, but no producer came forward to fund it.

Mugamoodi is about a super hero, who tackles corruption in the society. It is said to be an action – adventure family entertainer. The script and production cost has been worked out which includes stunt men from Hong Kong and the latest of special effects to be done by a Los Angeles based company.

It shows Jiiva is now saleable hero, after the super hit Ko. Now producers are willing to entrust a big budget project like Mugamoodi with the actor. The shoot of the film will start in August and will be Jiiva's big summer 2012 release.
